A Pre-Event massage is designed to get the blood flowing, the muscles warmed up, and the body ready for whatever activity you have planned for the day ahead.
It is best performed about 2 hours before your event, but can also be effective up to 2 days beforehand.
A Post-Event massage is designed to warm down your muscles, ease the tensions built up from the event, and to remove toxins through lymphatic drainage.
It is ideally performed 30 minutes to 2 hours after exercise, but can still be effective up to 3 days afterwards.
Benefits of Pre-Event Massage: warms up muscles, increases blood flow, decreases muscle tension, encourages appropriate range of movement in the joints, mental preparation and muscle readiness.
