Weekday appointments can be paid in advance or cash on the day.

Weekend appointments need to be paid in advance.

You will receive a reminder as the appointment day approaches.

Please see the FAQs about weekend appointments, our cancellation policy and late arrivals.

Weekend appointments have limited availability. We require full payment at least 48 hours before the appointment, or it will be cancelled.

Weekend appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled for a full refund if done so with at least 48 hours notice. After that time, full payment is required.

If the cancellation notice has expired, you have the option to transfer your appointment to a friend.

If we need to reshedule your appointment, we will try to give you as much notice as possible. If we ask you to reschedule with less than 24 hours(weekday) / 48 hours(weekend) notice, we will offer a 10% discount on your next treatment due to the inconvenience.

If you are running late, we will do our best to give you the full appointment time. This won’t always be possible because of other bookings, but if you know you are going to be late, please call or send us a message as soon as possible.

Full payment is required even if you arrive late. Our time is valuable, and by booking the appointment you have agreed to pay for that time even if we cannot give you the full treatment time because of your late arrival.

It is best to wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing.

We use a selection of massage oils and waxes, so wear something you don’t mind getting residue on.

Depending on the treatment, access may only be needed to your feet and calfs, such as in reflexology, so shorts or loose trousers are best.

For full body massage, it is best to undress down to your underwear. If you wear a bra, you will get the maximum benefit from the treatment if it is removed to allow full access to your back. But if you prefer to leave it on, wear a clip bra that can be unhooked at the back.

You will always be covered by a towel or sarong, and you will never feel exposed at any point during the treatment.

Of course! We want you to feel as comfortable as possible.

Yes. Children under the age of 18 and vulnerable adults must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

We take your privacy seriously. Any personal information you give us is for the exclusive use of TJM, and is not shared with any third parties.

On your first appointment we will take your information as part of your treatment consultation. It is taken in paper format, not digitally, and is stored under lock and key. Legally we are required to keep these records for 10 years, after which they are destroyed. Records of minors must be kept 10 years after they reach adulthood.

First time clients will have a free health consultation before treatment to make sure it’s right for you. It will last up to 15 minutes, is free and not included in your treatment time. During the consultation, we will discuss and record your personal details, medical history, and have a friendly chat about what your needs are so we can personalise your treatment and make any needed adjustments. If you have booked a sports massage, a postural assessment is also included.

We are not yet qualified for pregnancy massage or oncology massage.

Anyone currently with a fever, flu, covid or a bad cold would be advised to rearrange booking, as these are contagious and the stimulating effect of massage will make you feel worse.

If you have received a vaccine, please wait 3 days to receive a massage.

There are some medical conditions that are not appropriate to massage, such as: deep vein thrombosis, epilepsy, cardiovascular conditions, or if you are currently under medical supervision/testing by a doctor. When arranging your first appointment, we will ask if you have any medical conditions or recent injuries/surgeries.

No. We are not medically trained and do not have the authority to diagnose medical conditions.
